Putting on and taking off the PrenaBelt®
- Make sure you have oriented the PrenaBelt® correctly by referring to the orientation icon. The orientation icon is located in two places for ease of reference: on the inside of the back panel and on the outside of the right cinching strap. The head of the silhouette on the icon should be oriented towards your head, and the feet toward your feet.
- Grasp the end of the left mainstrap with your left hand and the end of the right mainstrap with your right hand and wrap the PrenaBelt® around your lower back/upper buttocks, hips, and under your belly. The left mainstrap goes under the right mainstrap. If the right mainstrap interferes with the left cinching strap, undo the left cinching strap, let it hang at your side until the right mainstrap is fastened to the underlying left mainstrap, and then fasten the left cinching strap over top of the right mainstrap.
WARNING: Do not stretch the cinching straps to their maximum stretch because this may deform and damage the cinching straps. Remember that over 90% of the support from the PrenaBelt® comes from the mainstraps, not the cinching straps. - Adjust the mainstraps so that the PrenaBelt® is snug.
- When you lie down to sleep, you may find that your belly shifts and the PrenaBelt® loosens. You may snug the PrenaBelt® further by using the mainstraps or the smaller cinching straps located on the sides.
- To take the PrenaBelt® off, undo the cinching straps and then the main straps.
Note: You can wear the PrenaBelt® during your daily activities for musculoskeletal support. If you sit while wearing the PrenaBelt®, it may shift and/or bunch as it is not designed to be worn when sitting.
